Our Belief

Ancient wisdom, held to modern standards.

“True happiness begins with the holistic growth of the entire family.”

The MatriAmrit vision

We believe that motherhood is sacred, and every child deserves the purest beginning in life. Rooted in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and Sanatana Dharma, we support mothers and nurture newborns through every stage of their journey - from wholesome postpartum nutrition and natural baby foods to guidance on traditional Samskaras, infant care and holistic well-being.

Our vision extends beyond the well-being of mothers and children. Through simple, practical, sustainable daily practices inspired by Sanatana Dharma, we help families cultivate physical health, mental peace and spiritual well-being - while maintaining harmony with modern life.

Ayurvedic first, not Ayurvedic-flavoured

Every formulation begins with classical texts and is reviewed by practising vaidyas - then validated against contemporary nutrition science.

Purity you can audit

Single-origin ingredients, named suppliers, batch-level lab reports. No refined sugar, no palm oil, no preservatives, no "natural flavour" hiding anything.

The whole family, not just the plate

Nutrition is one thread. Samskaras, sleep, massage, storytelling and daily dinacharya are the rest of the cloth.

The People Behind It

A mother's kitchen, and the family that carries it forward.

MatriAmrit did not start in a boardroom. It started at a dining table where everyone was fed. What follows is who we are, in our own words.

Five people, one kitchen - swipe or drag to meet them.

The founder of MatriAmrit, in her garden

Our Founder

Founder

A mother of six · A lifetime in the kitchen

At the heart of MatriAmrit is a mother whose greatest expression of love has always been through food, care, and seva. A mother of three daughters and three sons, she has spent a lifetime learning the art of cooking from her own mother and mother-in-law, while continually exploring new ways to create wholesome, nourishing meals.

Even today, her kitchen is filled with a variety of preparations made with love, and her table welcomes everyone-from little infants to elders-drawn not only by the healthy food she prepares, but by her warm, motherly nature.

Her enthusiasm for learning, cooking, and serving has never faded. What began as a way of caring for her own family gradually became something much larger: a desire to share the same love, nourishment, and thoughtful preparation with others. At a stage of life when many may choose to slow down, she chose to begin something new-to pass on what she has learned and turn her lifelong love for food and family into a meaningful seva through MatriAmrit.

For her, it is never too late to learn, never too late to serve, and never too late to share love.

I have always believed that well-being is not merely about what we consume, but also about the intention with which we live and nurture our families. An alumnus of IIT Delhi with a background in B.Tech, Chemical Engineering, technology, data analysis and market intelligence, my journey has taught me to combine analytical thinking with a deeper understanding of people, society and their changing needs.

My experience in leadership and wellness initiatives, along with my journey studying governance, society and public policy, strengthened my belief that meaningful change begins at the family level. This is the thought behind MatriAmrit - to bring traditional wisdom, wholesome ingredients and conscious living into the everyday lives of modern families, while respecting the wisdom passed down through generations.

MatriAmrit is my attempt to build more than a food brand. I envision it as a movement towards nurturing stronger bodies, healthier minds and more conscious families - because when a family grows consciously, a generation grows differently.

Dr. Abha Gupta is an Aerospace Engineer, researcher, educator, and value educator with a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and postdoctoral research experience at IIT Delhi. With over five years of experience in teaching and research, her professional journey has always centred around understanding complex systems, building strong foundations, and nurturing young minds. Alongside her academic career, she has been associated with value education since 2018, working to instil values in young minds.

As an engineer, I have spent years studying how strong structures are built. As an educator, I have seen how minds are shaped. As a mother, I came to realise that the strongest foundation we can build is the one we give a child from the very beginning of life.

Her journey as an educator, researcher, and mother gradually led her to explore a deeper question: what shapes a human being even before birth? This curiosity became the foundation of MatriAmrit. She believes that just as a strong structure requires a strong foundation, a healthy and conscious society must begin by nurturing the foundations of human life-before conception, during pregnancy, through early childhood, and within the family.

Through MatriAmrit, she brings together her scientific temperament, lifelong learning, experience in education and value-building, and her personal exploration of Sanatana Dharma to create practical pathways for families to raise children with health, awareness, compassion, values, and Dharma.

Ph.D., Institute of Mathematical Sciences · Alumnus, Indian Statistical Institute

I am an alumnus of the Indian Statistical Institute, and my academic and professional journey includes work at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences. I was trained in predictive data analysis and demand forecasting, applying these capabilities for V2 Retail, Vishal Mega Mart, xpolarity.ai and other mental-health ventures. This experience revealed a clear long-term movement: leaders and consumers increasingly seek natural, preventive and trustworthy ways of living.

At MatriAmrit, as Chief Operating Officer, I convert that insight and our founder's vision into disciplined daily execution. I align people, sourcing, production, quality, inventory, fulfilment and customer experience so every preparation reaches families consistently, responsibly and with the warmth of a mother's care. Predictive insight strengthens demand planning, reduces waste, improves reliability and helps us grow without losing our homemade authenticity.

My inspiration rests on a simple conviction: food prepared naturally, with expertise, intention and love, can nourish more than the body. It builds trust, influences consciousness, encourages healthier action and reconnects people with care. Through MatriAmrit, I am building an operating system where data guides decisions, operations protect authenticity, and love remains at the heart of every preparation.

Software engineering · Product, platform & data

I build the part of MatriAmrit you are not meant to notice. A software engineer by training and by temperament, I have spent my working life building products end to end - web and mobile applications, backend systems, and the data plumbing that holds them together - and the hardest problem has never been the code. It is earning the trust of the person on the other side of the screen.

That matters more here than anywhere else I have built. A mother ordering food for her recovery, or a family looking up the right way to observe a Samskara, is not browsing - she is trusting us, often at three in the morning. So the technology I build for MatriAmrit is deliberately quiet: a site that loads on a weak connection, an ordering flow that informs rather than pressures, guidance that is easy to find when it is actually needed, and batch records and lab reports that any customer can ask for and genuinely receive.

My job is to make sure that everything this brand promises in its kitchen can be verified in its systems - traceability from supplier to jar, honest shelf-life dates, no dark patterns, and no data collected that we do not need. Trust is not a marketing claim here; it is an engineering requirement.

As we grow, I want technology to carry the same care our founder puts into a single laddu, to every family we reach - because scale should multiply care, not replace it.

This is the spirit with which we begin our journey.

Questions

The things people actually ask us.

In almost all cases, yes - these are foods, not medicines. That said, shatavari and certain herbs can interact with hormonal treatment, and iron-rich foods affect absorption timing. Send us your prescription list and our nutritionist will map it against the formulation before you order. We would rather lose a sale than guess.

Because there are no preservatives, no antioxidant additives and no moisture-control agents. Ghee, nuts and jaggery in an airtight jar, kept cool, hold for about three weeks. Any laddu claiming six months has something in it that a sutika mother does not need.

Not at all. The guide explains each rite's origin, developmental significance and traditional practice, and leaves participation entirely to you. Many families use it purely as a cultural and developmental calendar. Nothing is gatekept, and nothing is prescribed as obligatory.

Yes. Nut-free, gluten-free and low-glycaemic variants are made to order with a five-day lead time. Gestational diabetes in particular changes the sweetener and portion guidance significantly - please tell us at the point of enquiry rather than after ordering.

Ghee from a single grass-fed Gir cow dairy; gond katira and herbs from a certified Ayurvedic supplier in Rajasthan; ragi and millets from a farmer collective in Karnataka; almonds and walnuts from Kashmir. Supplier names and certificates are shared with any customer who asks.

Cereal, ghee and the digital guides ship worldwide. Fresh laddus currently ship within India only - a 21-day shelf life and international customs do not mix. We are working on a vacuum-packed export format for early next year; join the list and we will tell you first.
